CBS to debut 'The Amazing Race's fifteenth edition on September 27 By Christopher Rocchio, 06/25/2009
CBS has announced The Amazing Race's fifteenth season will premiere with a special two-hour broadcast on Sunday, September 27 at 8PM ET/PT.
Beginning October 4, The Amazing Race will serve as the lead-in for Three Rivers, a new scripted drama that will air in the Sundays at 9PM ET/PT timeslot.
Last September, The Amazing Race continued its Annual Primetime Emmy Awards dominance when it captured the Outstanding Reality-competition Program award for the sixth year in a row -- making it the only show to win the award since the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences first created the category in 2002.
The win raised The Amazing Race's Emmy award total to 11 since it was first eligible in 2002, however it represented the only win out of the six nominations the show had received for last year's awards. Overall, The Amazing Race has received 26 nominations since it premiered in 2001.
In addition to The Amazing Race's fifteenth-season debut, CBS also announced Survivor: Samoa -- the nineteenth season of the long-running reality series -- will premiere on Thursday, September 17 at 8PM ET/PT.
As it has for the last eight years, Survivor's premiere will mark the debut of CBS' new fall schedule. The rest of the network's schedule won't begin premiering until Monday, September 21, the official start of the 2009-2010 television season.

Have the contestants been revealed yet?
Hi Ladynascar,
No, the teams haven't been revealed yet. I'm guessing probably by the end of next week sometime. As you can see from the website markers for the contestants, looks like they are starting with 12 teams this season. _________________

This is just about Phil. I went to see my grandma in the hosital and one of my aunts had a magazine called guidepost and there was a stroy about Phil in it. I don't know if they have it on thier website or not. It was the Sept. 2009 issue and it told all about his life before TAR. It was really good. _________________ Only two things in life are certain...Death and Taxes!

Thanks for the info Bigo! My sister Michelle gets that magazine too. She usually takes them up to the Insurance office she works at for people to read while waiting.
