A new season of Big Brother 11 is coming our way and today was Media Day inside the new Big Brother 11 house. I posted earlier in our forums that I didn't know which was worse "being locked inside the Big Brother house or being locked out of it" as it literally took all day until we had any glimmer of information about "Big Brother 11 Media Day". I thought off and on all day that if I would just walk away from the computer that perhaps that would bring the news, any news, that we had been waiting for would come as soon as I departed. Tada! Ben, Mr. BSideBlog himself, threw me a delight with his Twitter
"bsideblog Just spent an entire day in the big brother house!"
Then CBSTweet chimed in with "CBSTweet Big Bro media day just concluded...12 House Guests...12hrs...Who won? Who lost? We'll let them break the news...."
At that point in time, I believe my hands begin to shake!
The flurry of the search for interviews and tiny piece of information began. Executive Producer of Big Brother, Allison Grodner, did an impromptu to radio interview with the John Jay & Rich Show since Carrie from there was talking John Jay's place inside the Big Brother 11 house.
So.. here's what we know so far...
Allison Grodner talks about the new Big Brother 11 season and here's some of the info she releases via radio interview with the John Jay & Rich Show.
Allison said that there were a lot of interesting people in the house for Big Brother Media day including people from the Media ( of course ) along with people who work in television, print, and the internet. They lived a week of Big Brother in one day which includes all aspects, Head of Household, Power of Veto, Eating Slop, and Eviction. Footage will be released and aired in little segments ( once the real cast of Big Brother 11 is safely away from the media outlets).
Speaking of "the cast" - Allison says " we have a cast and a twist - everything is in" ( not in the house yet - just in )
John Jay asked her about the twist this season - she says it's "different" ... "unique" ... and " incredibly relatable" she adds " you will be able to identify with this twist" this season. She added - "there is also something else happening on Premiere night - that is "unprecedented" and "will be a lot of fun" .. and.. that we will hear more and more the closer we get to the premiere night of July 9th.
They ask her for a scoop - regarding the "something unprecedented" this season...
She replies " I wish I could but my cast is out there listening to the radio" and adds "but once we've got them all safe and snug - prior to our premiere we start to release a lot of this "
Allison talks a bit about the new Big Brother 11 house, she says, " I will tell you the house is "gorgeous" that "it's a modern house" this season and " we're going green " so .. we are "eco-friendly".
She was asked if the cast knows that they are the cast of Big Brother "in other words - if you are on Big Brother do you know it as of now"
She replies - "umm.. no there is sort of a top grouping and no one knows for sure yet.. because as always we surprise them."
Julie Chen is the host .. talks about her baby ... she jokes that Julie's baby is "the 14th contestant"
( ummm 14th.. so does that mean they are 13? - because reports so far only speculate 12 )
That's it for now... well other than the fact that Carrie from the John Jay & Rich Show whispered that there was "someone" dressed up ( don't ask me in what ) from the Craig Ferguson Show ( not Craig ) that was going into the Big Brother house with her. She didn't know who he was and neither do we ( at least at this time ) she was very covert about it since she wasn't suppose to be talking about "those things" ...
